Music from
Maja Bugge : cello
Pete Moser : accordion and piano
Mina Salama:oud and ney

Please come to this Musical Meditation on Peace for Palestine at More Music.

The event is a fundraiser for a community in Central Gaza, and all proceeds will be dispersed there by a Lancaster University graduate from Gaza who lives there, helping people purchase what little is available. This concert will enable him to respond to some of the huge needs of people in his area.

All proceedings from the event will go to this community.

Lancaster based cellist Maja Bugge and pianist Pete Moser will play with Mina Salama on oud and ney in a seventh Meditation event raising money and energy for Gaza.

It will be a contemplative and quiet space to reflect and come together.

SOLIDARITY IS STRENGTH

More about the fundraiser:
Water for Gaza – Solar Powered Well Project in Gaza

The solar powered well is a project initiated and led by Atef, a Lancaster University Graduate from Gaza, who asked his friends in Lancaster to help him raise money so that he could install a well in his community.

The well will provide much needed water, free of charge, to people in Central Gaza, including to many displaced people.

The fundraising has been going really well. We have already raised £20,000, which should be enough (as long as prices do not escalate too much) for the well digging and solar equipment to power it. The next stage is to raise money for the desalination equipment, which will hopefully take the water from “good for everyday use”, to drinking water quality.
